Lime Marmorino is a wall coating made from 100% natural components. It is formulated with air lime CL90-S, marble powder, and natural additives, and comes in a ready-to-use paste format.
It is ideal for creating a variety of finishes and plasters, suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, delivering long-lasting results.
What is Lime Marmorino?
Lime Marmorino is a fine and smooth decorative plaster for interior and exterior use. It is 100% natural, ecological, and non-toxic.
It contains no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and is available in a wide range of colors, with its original tone being off-white. It is a medium-fine plaster (60–600 microns) with slight voids and imperfections that resemble marble, while offering a smooth touch.
It is an excellent choice for indoor walls and facades. It does not require a final fixer to improve hardness. Optionally, it can be finished with Naturclay Wax for a satin look and added protection. You can also apply Naturclay Eco-Water Repellent, a product that repels water while preserving all the properties of lime-based Marmorino.

Applications of lime-based Marmorino
Lime-based Marmorino is a decorative coating highly valued for both its aesthetic appeal and technical properties. Its versatility allows it to be applied in various ways, as outlined below:
- Interior decorative coating. This product is ideal for coating walls in living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, or hallways where elegant, smooth, or satin finishes are desired.
- Exterior applications. Lime Marmorino can also be used as a decorative render on facades and exterior walls, thanks to its weather resistance and excellent adhesion to mineral substrates.
- Historic building restoration. Due to its compatibility with traditional materials, it is an excellent choice for heritage restoration projects.
- Bioconstruction. Its 100% natural composition makes it perfectly suited for use in sustainable building projects.
How to apply this product
First, ensure that the substrate where the lime Marmorino will be applied is completely dry, clean, and free of loose particles, dust, and mold. The moisture content of the substrate must not exceed 3%.
If renders are present on the surface, they should be cleaned and smoothed using products like Cal Raso or Adhesivo Bio. Then, apply ECO Primer on porous substrates, or ECO Primer Puente on non-porous ones.
Regarding the application, the product must be applied in a minimum of two coats, each between 1 and 1.5 mm thick, using a trowel. It comes ready to use, so no water or additional ingredients need to be added.
Approximate drying time is around 24 hours, depending on environmental conditions. However, if different finishes are to be achieved, it is not advisable to wait too long before working the surface.
Finishes for lime-based Marmorino plaster
Once applied, Naturclay’s lime Marmorino can be finished in different ways, including:
- Troweled. While still drying, it can be troweled using a sponge-trowel.
- Polished or stucco. This is done by applying the second coat while the first is still slightly wet. The retained moisture helps smooth the surface more easily and achieve a better finish.
Additional recommendations for using this product relate to ambient temperature and humidity levels. It is advisable to apply it at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C and with relative humidity between 50% and 80%.
Under no circumstances should it be applied in strong winds, direct rain, or when there is a risk of frost within the following 48 hours.
