Applications of Arcibonit clay interior plaster
Our wall coating Arcibonit is a natural, sustainable, and healthy alternative. Ideal for interior use, it offers good transpirable properties and resistance, along with an elegant finish.
- Interior wall coatings. It is a great product that can be used in homes, offices, and commercial spaces, providing an excellent finish.
- Restoration of old buildings. This type of plaster is especially recommended for use in traditional constructions, as it is compatible with natural materials like brick.
- Sustainable projects. It is suitable for both residential and public buildings where the use of materials without toxic components or industrial additives is prioritized.
- Spaces requiring thermal regulation. This coating acts as an insulating layer in rooms such as bedrooms, study areas, or living rooms.
- Natural and handcrafted decoration. Arcibonit allows for a wide range of aesthetic finishes such as stucco, smoothing, textured or aged effects, adding a rustic or modern touch depending on the desired style.
How to apply Arcibonit
The first step to achieving the best results with Arcibonit is to mix the product with water, at a ratio of 0.25 liters of water per kilogram of material. These proportions can be slightly adjusted to improve workability, and pigments may be added to the mix.
Before application, ensure that the chosen substrate is completely dry, clean, and free from loose parts, dust, and mold. If there are renders present, they must be properly adhered to the wall structure, free from damage, smoothed out, and dry.
After this, it is recommended to apply a primer layer with ECO PRIMER if the surface is porous, or ECO PRIMER PUENTE for non-porous surfaces. Once the surface is ready, Arcibonit should be applied in at least two coats, each between 1 and 1.5 mm thick, applied manually using a trowel.
A drying time of 24 hours should be observed between coats, although this may vary depending on the ambient conditions of the space. Like other raw clay materials, Arcibonit can be moistened and reworked.
Finishes of Arcibonit interior plaster
Our Arcibonit wall coating allows for different finish results. The most notable is the following:
- Troweled. Once the material is partially dry, it should be troweled with a damp sponge trowel. The surface can then be polished using a stainless steel trowel, following the Venetian stucco technique.
Additional recommendations for using this product relate to ambient temperature and humidity levels. It is advisable to apply it at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C and with relative humidity between 50% and 80%.
Under no circumstances should it be applied in strong winds, direct rain, or when there is a risk of frost within the following 48 hours.
