What is Venetian stucco or lime stucco?
Venetian Stucco Grassello is a continuous coating made from air lime, marble powder, and natural additives. It is 100% natural, eco-friendly, and non-toxic. It contains no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and is available in a wide range of colors, with its original shade being off-white.
It is a very fine plaster (60 microns) with a smooth, mirror-like touch. Its aesthetic value is both historic and undeniable, capable of imitating marble surfaces with highly polished, glossy finishes.

How to apply white lime stucco coating
To achieve the expected results when using our lime stucco, it is necessary to follow the following instructions carefully. First, the substrate must be completely dry, as well as free of loose parts, dust, and mold.
If renders are present, they must be perfectly adhered to the surface and be clean and free of damage. After this step, the substrate must be primed with ECO PRIMER or ECO PRIMER PUENTE, depending on whether the surface is porous or non-porous.
Once this is done, it is time to apply a layer of lime Marmorino as a base, and then apply the lime stucco. The recommended method for the second case is to do it in a minimum of two coats, by hand using a trowel. It is very easy to use, as it is already prepared in a paste format that simplifies application.
You must wait at least 24 hours between coats, although it is advisable that the material does not dry completely before applying the second layer. By retaining some of its moisture, it will help improve smoothing and allow the product to integrate much better.
Once all the layers are dry, the coating can be polished with a 200 or 400 grit trowel. The surface can also be finished with a shine using the same tool.
Additional recommendations for using this product relate to ambient temperature and humidity levels. It is advisable to apply it at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C and with relative humidity between 50% and 80%.
Under no circumstances should it be applied in strong winds, direct rain, or when there is a risk of frost within the following 48 hours.
